History & goals

Carano 4 Children and g4g are working together to help inspire the future leaders of STEM!

Carano 4 Children is a non-profit foundation based in Brussels, created in memory of Luigi Carano and Erika Ciancaleoni, two Italian aeronautical engineers and artists. Through its flagship initiative, Leonardo 4 Children, the foundation empowers children and young people across Europe to address climate change, social equality, and peace, using art and science as tools for creativity and problem-solving. Since 2019, the Leonardo 4 Children Awards, a kind of "miniNobel" for children, have engaged over 3,250 young participants and 8,500 workshop and concert attendees, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's example of using creativity to tackle real-world challenges. Funds raised through its events and publications go entirely toward supporting children in need, including orphans, refugees, and hospitalised children, in partnership with organisations such as UNICEF and Save the Children.
g4g is proud to partner with Carano 4 Children, joining forces to inspire the next generation to use their creativity — in art, science, and beyond — to build a better future.
