Social Media and Marketing Internship

Greenlight for girls, asbl is an international non-profit organization, with international headquarters in Brussels, Belgium and offices in the US. Our mission is to encourage girls of any age and any background to consider STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) studies and careers by introducing them to the world of science in fun and exciting ways. We envision a balanced world where girls (& boys) from any nation and of any age know they have the possibility and choice to enter the world of math, science, engineering and technology.

When circumstances allow, we're often rolling to airports in an instant with peculiar science materials in tow, ready to inspire the world. We love all things quirky, techy, innovative, forward thinking, and truly believe that science is linked to everything and anything around us.
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for curious and solution-driven team players who are ready to ignite ideas and are motivated to make a difference. You don’t need to have an extensive knowledge or experience, but you will be passionate about STEM and how it can transform the future. You will have a strong learning mindset to embrace the evolving work we do. You will have strong written and oral communication skills and possess a can-do, enthusiastic attitude. You believe in an inclusive and equitable world.
Your responsibilities may include:
Developing compelling and on-brand social media content (including text, images, videos)
Increasing engagement and brand-awareness on our social media channels
Undertaking research and establish the best way to reach target groups
Writing and running ad campaigns
Animating our network and growing our community
Growing our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram reach
Launching our g4g strategy in TikTok
Tracking and analysing traffic flow and engagement rates
Conducting keyword and hashtag research
Producing STEM experiment videos to share on our social media
Conducting interviews (either live or recorded) with STEM role-models
Returning followers’ enquiries, following up on contacts and leads
Creating on-line engagement and dialogue with followers
Researching STEMfluencers and assisting with influencer identification
Regular housekeeping of databases
Taking part in team brainstorming, coming up with creative ideas and feeding back design/content
Key skills required:
Good knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok)
Organised, flexible, energetic, reliable, self-motivated and a can-do attitude
Excellent communications and English skills
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
A ‘creative flair’, whether that’s the ability to come up with innovative content ideas, an aptitude for the written word or an artistic eye, we’re looking for someone to bring some PUNCH to our socials
Willingness to learn, share ideas and work collaboratively. You don’t need to be a science wiz, but you must love to learn.
